We're personally very happy with it and our beta testers are satisfied too. It's not Meta or Apple level — but it's honest, well-tested hardware. Sure, it can be a bit finicky at times, but once you have it, you'll never want to play without it.

Eye movement tracking is perfect. Blinking works well with proper thresholds. Winking is mostly reliable. Half-closed eyes and eyebrow tracking are not currently supported. Face tracking expressions work extremely well.

No. FaceFocusVR is designed for social VR applications like VRChat, not for foveated rendering.

No. The mainboard and plastic components are the most expensive parts regardless, so it doesn't make sense to sell them separately.

Yes. FaceFocusVR operates with a ~70× safety margin below the EN 62471 irradiance limit. See our Safety page for full details.

Yes. Plastic parts can be reordered through JLC3DP. LEDs and cameras are custom-made and can only be obtained from FaceFocusVR directly.

No. FaceFocusVR currently only supports the Valve Index.

Yes. The current version of VROptician/VROptiker lenses is supported. Legacy versions are NOT compatible.

FaceFocusVR has a built-in fan (though weaker than Kiwi's). The Kiwi mod is not officially supported. NoFio compatibility is unknown.

Technically yes, but it would be redundant since FaceFocusVR already includes equivalent functionality.

Yes. There is a passthrough USB port, but it is power-limited.

Small-scale electronics production is expensive. Each unit requires custom PCBs, camera modules, and 3D-printed parts.

VAT is included for EU and USA orders. For orders outside these regions, DHL handles customs processing.

No soldering required. You only need to remove the frunk cover and face gasket for installation.
